Jive Dancing is a Latin dance, originating from African Americans in the 1930’s. Shows like Strictly Come Dancing, have led to increased popularity of many forms of dance, including Jive. So now is the perfect time to give jive dancing a go!

Your professional dance instructor is a former all-Ireland jive champion, so you couldn’t be in better hands! Starting with a quick warm-up, you will then progress onto some basic moves and dance sequences! Your experienced tutor will give you plenty of tips throughout the lesson too, so you will all be jive dancing in no time!

This is the perfect activity to get you up and moving. You’ll love the music too – there are big Jive Songs from the likes of Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra! Plan a get together with a few friends, or why not surprise your mate on their birthday with this fantastic dance session!

Jive Dancing is suitable for beginners of all ages. It can be as energetic as you wish to make it, so those who may not as young and fit as others, can work within a level with which they feel comfortable.Please wear comfortable, non-restrictive clothing that you can easily move around in. You can get pretty warm while dancing so please wear light layers.Please wear flat shoes – trainers or plimsolls are ideal.
